Syntax

$title[text;(embedIndex)]

Parameters

Parameter	Description
text	The text of the title. You can use Discord markdown syntax (bold, italics, underline, etc.).
embedIndex	Optional. Index of the embed to modify, from 1 to 10 (1 by default, also when empty). Any other value is an error. Use it to build several embeds in the same message (maximum of 10).

Return Value

This function returns nothing; it modifies the response currently being constructed. The pending embed is emitted automatically at the end of the script as the response; $sendMessage[text] does not send it, it posts a separate channel message and leaves the pending response untouched. See Execution model.

Behavior

• $title[] is a response mutation: it is added to the response currently in progress and is emitted with the pending response at the end of the script.
• If you call $title[] several times for the same embed index, only the last call is applied.
• The order of the embed functions does not matter: each call fills one property of the embed at its index, and the embed is built when the response is sent.
• The title is limited to 256 characters; a longer text is an error (“Embed text cannot exceed 256 characters.”). The total text of all the embeds (titles, descriptions, fields, footers, author names) is limited to 6000 characters.
• An embed whose properties are all empty is not sent.

Notes

• The maximum length of the title is 256 characters.
• If the text is empty, the title will not be displayed in the embed.
• For an embed without a title, simply omit the call to $title[].
